Located in Real County - Highveld Ranch is 50± miles from Kerrville, 95± miles from San Antonio, 140± miles from Austin, and 250± miles from Midland.

Highveld Ranch is a high-fenced 4,365± acre property predominated by rolling grassland/live oak savannas sitting atop a relatively level, broad 2,000± foot-high plateau in western Kerr and northern Real counties known as “The Divide.” Its incredible vistas and beautiful oak savannas demand attention. Shin oaks and live oaks fill Highveld’s captivating land along with other native grasses and hardwoods.  The ranch has been developed and improved to meet Tecomate Signature standards.  Completely high-fenced with no interior fences on the ranch.

The property consists of multiple improvements for entertaining guests. The most prestigious is a newly-renovated 6,900± sf lodge with eight bedrooms and nine and a half bathrooms. No expense was spared during the renovation as it has a 30'x60'± vaulted great room, a lounge with a bar and a large fireplace, a newly-equipped commercial kitchen, a dining room with seating for 20± guests, and a dedicated office. The ranch also has a 1,650± sf three-bedroom and two-bathroom manager’s house, a large metal barn with a 40'x60'± ft interior, a game processing facility, and a rifle range.

Highveld Ranch has phenomenal whitetail, exotic, and turkey populations. It is also home to ten exotic big game species, abundant turkey, and wild hogs. The overall number and quality of mature whitetails and exotic species on Highveld is exceptional. The ranch is also home to record-class bucks!  Exotics include five deer species – axis, fallow, sika, red deer, barasingha; two sheep species – aoudad and red/mouflon cross; and blue wildebeest, scimitar oryx, and blackbucks. The whitetail population is approximately 950± with approximately 260± bucks.  During the 2021-2022 hunting season, 22 bucks and 22 does were harvested, including two that were post-prime bucks over 170, of which one topped 200 inches and netted 197 non-typical. Tecomate Wildlife Reports are available on request.

The property has six wells with cisterns that gravity feed water through miles of poly pipe to 20 permanent water points throughout the ranch. The wells and watering points are situated so that nearly all the wildlife is approximately a quarter of a mile from a water source.
