History:
To say the least this ranch has had a lot of Texas history. What is now the main home was the namesake of “Hacienda, Texas” established in the late 1880’s. During the time, Hacienda, Texas was one of the largest distribution points in the world for cattle and Poland China hogs. The home housed the local post office run by J.T. Hall, who had a mail order shipping company that shipped dry goods all over the world. On the ranch the original slab of the Hacienda General store and schoolhouse once stood. By the 1960’s, Hacienda, Texas was reduced to no business, but the history is still engrained into the ranch.
